A new October Daye book is always cause for celebration, especially this one as Toby is finally getting married。 While things, of course, go wrong and there's a strong mystery plot, we also get all the sentimental happiness and the cake and cameos from many longtime friends。 Just what I wanted。 A new October Daye book is always cause for celebration, especially this one as Toby is finally getting married。 While things, of course, go wrong and there's a strong mystery plot, we also get all the sentimental happiness and the cake and cameos from many longtime friends。 Just what I wanted。 。。。more

Love love love Finally the wedding。 Of course there are twists and turns but October and Tybalt get their day。 All the gang gets to be part of this story。

I can't believe we finally made it to the wedding! I thought this day would never come! This was just what I expected and a lot of fun that had me snickering quite a few times, trying to hold in my laughter so as to not wake up the entire house。 (I was reading this in the middle of the night, starting at midnight as soon as the ebook downloaded to my kindle)。 Lots of heartwarming moments, too。 There were no big reveals/surprises in this one, though there was plenty of hinting at things I'm sure I can't believe we finally made it to the wedding! I fell in love with Toby within the first few pages of the first book。 Every time I get a new book in the series to read, I get excited to dive in and spend more time with the characters I adore and in this wonderful world that Seanan McGuire has built。This book has been a long time coming and the events couldn't have played out more perfectly。 Plus, the novella at the end was an excellent cap on the entire story。So why 4 stars and not 5? Loved it! ❤ Toby and Tybalt are finally getting married, but they have to stay alive to get to the day first! Fun snappy dialogue, lots of reminiscing, and yes, another jam that they have to get out of, kept me glued to the pages。 I can't believe it's been 15 books! I've loved the character growth of the hero October and her friends AND enemies, and the world building of Toby's Fairie, largely set in and around San Francisco, has been very entertaining。 I hope there are more books to come, as I Loved it! ❤ Toby and Tybalt are finally getting married, but they have to stay alive to get to the day first! I eagerly look forward to the October Daye books just because I have loved this series since the beginning, and I finally got to read this latest。 This book is the one we’ve all been waiting for: the marriage of Toby and Tybalt。 Of course, Toby can’t do anything without a little blood, attempted king-slaying, and worrying Tybalt, and this has that and more。 I found this to be an appropriate lead-up to the wedding, and I’ll leave the rest for you to read。 I can’t wait to see more of all the chara I eagerly look forward to the October Daye books just because I have loved this series since the beginning, and I finally got to read this latest。 This book is the one we’ve all been waiting for: the marriage of Toby and Tybalt。 Of course, Toby can’t do anything without a little blood, attempted king-slaying, and worrying Tybalt, and this has that and more。 I found this to be an appropriate lead-up to the wedding, and I’ll leave the rest for you to read。 I can’t wait to see more of all the characters, and I realized just how many are in this series as most come to the festivities。 LOL! I loved getting to see all the characters again, and I’m anxiously awaiting what comes next after this。 Highly recommend。 I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed。 。。。more

I stayed up a solid two hour after I usually go to bed finishing this ARC!It’s hard to review a book that’s 15 in a series without spoiling stuff for folks… It really made me laugh several times, it probably says something slightly disturbing about my sense of humor that I find Seanan McGuire’s jokes funny。 I did like that while there are at last a couple months titles showing in Goodreads that this one it ends in a place where you can feel good about taking a pause from this world until the nex I stayed up a solid two hour after I usually go to bed finishing this ARC!It’s hard to review a book that’s 15 in a series without spoiling stuff for folks… It really made me laugh several times, it probably says something slightly disturbing about my sense of humor that I find Seanan McGuire’s jokes funny。 I did like that while there are at last a couple months titles showing in Goodreads that this one it ends in a place where you can feel good about taking a pause from this world until the next book。 Maybe not a perfectly five star book because the novella at the end really just feels like the last few chapters of the main part of the book。 But I’m really having to pick nits to find something to complain about。 If you’ve liked the series so far you’re going to love this one too。 If you like urban fantasy and for some reason haven’t read the series yet you should! 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This is a breather book, in some ways - the stakes are not find the lost king of faerie anymore, for one。 But it feels like a closing of the first half of October Daye as a series, and considering the kind of shit she's been through, I can't wait to see what's next。 Maybe not my favorite, but still fucking good。Also we stan Quentin in this house。 This is a breather book, in some ways - the stakes are not find the lost king of faerie anymore, for one。 But it feels like a closing of the first half of October Daye as a series, and considering the kind of shit she's been through, I can't wait to see what's next。 Maybe not my favorite, but still fucking good。Also we stan Quentin in this house。 。。。more

https://wordnerdy。blogspot。com/2021/0。。。This series is now fifteen books deep and shows no signs of coming to a conclusion, but I’m in it for the long haul。 In this one, Toby is finally getting married (in Toronto, lots of Tim Horton's jokes), if political crises and assassination attempts don’t get in the way。 I actually liked this one! I mean still a little too much of “let me explain the fairy genetics of every single type of fairy” and 14 books worth of exposition, but entertaining。 For some https://wordnerdy。blogspot。com/2021/0。。。This series is now fifteen books deep and shows no signs of coming to a conclusion, but I’m in it for the long haul。 In this one, Toby is finally getting married (in Toronto, lots of Tim Horton's jokes), if political crises and assassination attempts don’t get in the way。 I actually liked this one! What a great read! This is what it says on the label, the wedding of Toby and Tybalt。 Everyone else has been doing the planning for Toby so she just needs to show up but they only give her a few days warning on the exact date。 Once they get to Toronto to the High King’s court with Quentin in disguise, things quickly slide into chaos。 And of course Toby’s history of upsetting monarchies is a wrinkle that is constantly thrown into her face and slows down help from some people。 The novella at the e What a great read!
